The Aircross range is renowned for its comfort class SUV. Citroen has taken the Hybrid C5 Aircross SUV to another level of comfort. You're now floating on air with Citroen’s progressive hydraulic cushion suspension system. Paired with advanced comfort seats and 19 driving assisted technology. Add to this the serene drive experience when in 100% electric mode with no engine noise or engine vibration.
You will never be aware of the seamless change between the combustion engine and the electric motor. You won’t feel a jolt or judder while driving. Citroen’s onboard technology handles the automatic management between the electric motor and petrol engine. You can manually select the different driving mode’s. Choose between the ZEH, Hybrid or Sport mode on the easy to reach selector situated n the centre console.
This is a high-performance SUV. Citroen has achieved this by combining the PureTech 180hp petrol engine with an 80kW electric motor. This is connected to the expertly developed e-EAT8 automatic gearbox. This power plant combination produces 225hp with 320Nm of torque. The e-EAT8 gearbox offers not only just smooth, optimised gear changes. It also helps slow the vehicle down without using the brake pedal. This is achieved by its “Brake” mode technology.
You’ll find this plug-in hybrid SUV will produce 31-miles (50km) in 100% electric mode. While producing zero emissions while in this electric driving mode. The pairing of the 2 power plants provides an overall consumption of 166mpg (WLTP). With the 31-mile range of full-electric, this is most peoples daily commute. Just think, when you’re driving to work you are producing zero emissions.
You’re able to charge your C5 Aircross SUV Hybrid via a normal domestic plug socket. This is best done overnight when the car isn’t normally in use. Or via a 32A Wallbox that will take about 2-hours to complete. Citroen has designed a charging cable storage area, located neatly under the boot floor.
The new Citroën C5 Aircross SUV Hybrid offers an eye-pleasing interior layout. Offering the driver easy to use dials, with a dedicated digital instrument panel. The driver’s display offers a speedometer, electric and fuel gages, range in electric consumption. You’ll be shown the energy flow diagram even while charging. You’ll also be alerted to the remaining charging time and range along with battery charge recovered.
