The family-owned business first opened in 1939 when Albert Flitton started out as an agricultural engineer servicing farm equipment. The garage grew and became a Ford car dealer for many years until 1966, while expanding into servicing, bodywork and breakdown recovery. Slip End Garages became a Citroen dealership in 1979 and later links were forged with Subaru and Isuzu.
Today, Albert’s sons Geoff and Dennis own the company, while grandsons Matthew and Andrew are the third generation to be involved in the business.
The staff at Slip End Garages are among the most knowledgeable in the industry with more than 150 years’ of expertise in the workshop alone.
