WHAT IS MOTABILITY? Mobility in a nutshell Motability is a government backed scheme that enables people with disabilities to lease a brand new car using their mobility allowance. The all inclusive lease covers insurance, servicing, maintenance and breakdown support, giving you complete peace of mind every time you drive.

AM I ELIGIBLE? You may qualify for the Motability Scheme if you receive one of the following allowances: • Enhanced rate mobility part of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
• Higher rate mobility part of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
• War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
• Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

Yes. A wide range of adaptations is available, including hand controls, boot hoists and access aids – and many popular options are included at no extra cost.

How long does a Motability lease last?

A typical lease lasts three years. At the end of the term, you simply return your car and choose a brand‑new Peugeot.

What is included in a Motability lease?

It’s an all-inclusive package designed to provide worry-free motoring. Aside from your fuel or electric charging costs, the lease covers:

Insurance – Comprehensive cover for up to three named drivers.
Servicing and repairs – All routine servicing, maintenance and MOTs.
Breakdown cover – Full 24/7 RAC Roadside Assistance and recovery.
Tyres and windscreens – Replacement tyres and windscreen care.
Vehicle tax – Handled and automatically renewed each year.
Adaptations – Many popular access and driving adaptations fitted at no extra cost.
Personal accident cover – Included for up to £5,000.

If you choose an electric vehicle (EV) as your first lease, the Scheme also includes a home chargepoint and standard installation for free.

Can someone else drive the car for me?

Yes. You can add up to three named drivers, including family members, carers or friends, as long as they meet Motability’s eligibility criteria.
